  • Chesapeake Energy Corporation (NYSE:CHK) is one of the six largest independent U.S. natural gas producers and owns one of the country's largest inventories of environmentally friendly and safe domestic natural gas reserves. Including our recently announced acquisitions of Concho Resources and other producing properties which closed on January 30, 2004, our estimated proved reserves are 3.5 trillion cubic feet of gas equivalent (tcfe). Our initial estimate for 2004 production is 323-329 bcfe, a projected increase over 2003 of 21%. Approximately 90% of our reserves and 90% of our projected production are natural gas.
