Vice President of IT

About the position

24 Seven Enterprises, a wine logistics direct to consumer company, is seeking a Vice President of IT.  Our headquarters located in New Windsor NY, also has locations in Upstate NY, Florida, Missouri, California and Nevada.  We are looking for an individual that has expertise in the IT field that encompasses logistics, and project management.  This candidate must have the ability to work under tight deadlines with a multiplicity of locations and clientele.   As the VP of IT this candidate possess the necessary skill set and experience to deliver results, streamline processes and applications to make 24 Seven the most innovative in the wine logistics industry.   The VP of IT will have to liaise with the COO and Operations to ensure Service Level Agreements are achieved, remain in budget on projects and,  when necessary, be able to interface with the customer on any concerns, issues or business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provides overall leadership, policy guidance and reviews from an IT perspective
• Plans, organizes, administers, and directs the work of the IT team
• Develops and directs the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and work standards
• Attracts, builds and motivates a high-quality team
• Able to manage remote teams
• Develops and implements management systems, procedures, metrics, and standards for evaluation
• Analyzes, interprets, and applies solutions to operation issues
• Builds cross-functional support for strategies and tactics
• Oversees the department’s annual operating budget and ensures costs are effectively managed
• Exercises sound, independent judgment within general organization guidelines
•  Streamline processes and other platforms to ensure a seamless customer experience
• Provides regular reports to executive management as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
• Minimum of 5-10 years of leadership experience in IT in the, transportation and logistics fields of which at least two of those years have included supervision of professional staff
• Driven, fact-based and results oriented with a track record in leading, aligning and managing teams against high-performance objectives
• Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels of the enterprise in a multi-cultural environment
• Experience in strategic planning and execution
• Strong collaborative leadership skills and ability to work well with other functional areas including  Finance, Operations, Facilities, Vendors, and  customers
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to travel 35-40%
