Application Management Engineer

Due to company growth my client is now recruiting for two Application Management Engineers to join their busy team. The successful candidates will be heavily involved in delivering application management service to my client’s customers, implementing and running best practices, techniques and procedures.

They will be responsible for assisting in the support of custom applications, monitoring critical logs and working directly with users to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding customer applications and system issues.

Reporting directly to the Customer Services Manager, key duties will include:

- Understanding the technical and business architecture of the application

- Implement, optimise, test and release: data management scripts, ETL procedure, system monitoring script

- Applications monitoring: monitor critical logs and systems

- On Call support: provide on call support and application management

- Work directly with clients and the customer service team to troubleshoot and support incidents

- Participate in regular service status meetings

Key skills and experience required:

- Excellent communication skills

- Hands on experience with Microsoft/Unix based systems

- Experience in IT Application support services essential

- Strong customer focus

- Team player

- Innovative team orientated problem solver

- Strong commitment to providing quality service

- Strong organisation and time management skills

Own transport required due to office location

Travel to other sites may also be required

Hours of work: cover required between 6.00am and 5.30pm (6.00am - 2.30pm or 9.00am - 5.30pm shifts). Early shifts can be worked from home

Holidays; 22 days + bank holidays.
