The Role

Role Overview
As Credit Risk Analyst, you will join our Consumer Financial Services Risk Analytics department. You will be responsible for monitoring and preparing analyses on the credit quality and performance of our loan and lease portfolios in order to keep your finger on the pulse of the market and inform quality decision making and maintain the health of the Consumer Financial Services Portfolio. You'll leverage your excellent Excel skills to do your job, as well as Access and Tableau, which we'll teach you if necessary. 

Role Details
Working and partnering with the Finance and other departments, such as Sales & Marketing, you will monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), assess risk, and create weekly and monthly financial reports, including forecasting, to be presented to senior leadership onsite in Torrance and virtually to leaders in Irving, Texas. A sampling of your specific duties includes:
  • Preparing analyses, reporting, and presentation of key performance indicators such as credit originations quality, delinquency performance, charge off behavior, and post charge off recovery effectiveness.
  • Assisting with risk mitigation strategies, including but not limited to, credit policy changes and analyses to optimize collection efforts.
  • Supporting the Risk Analytics department with analytical ad hoc assignments as needed.
  • Leading credit-related projects and/or developing credit risk analyses as requested.
  • Identifying trends and developments in the automotive industry and making recommendations to management that improve effectiveness or efficiencies for credit risk related areas.
