Location: Kankakee IL-Located just 1 hour south of Chicago! A growing community home to the Bears Training Camp and easy access to all major amenities. LPGA tour golf classic symphony's orchestra year round cultural and sports activities! Great school systems! Facility: licensed for 341 beds / Level II Trauma Center. The Primary service area – population 400 038. Currently there are 2 physicians in the group now. There are three physician assistants and on Nurse Practitioner. Here is an overview of the Neurosurgeons on staff now. Clinically this is an Inpatient/Outpatient practice set up. Approximately 2 ½ days in clinic and approximately 2 days in surgery. Approximately 734 cases performed in 2016. Call is 1:3 (Every third day and every third weekend). PAs take first call. The office hours are 9-5 Monday thru Friday. The practice location is on the hospital campus. They have two offsite outreach locations where patients are currently seen in Coal City IL and Frankfort IL. They are looking for someone is who Board Certified OR Board Eligible M.D. or D.O. and a team player. They would like someone well versed in minimally invasive spine and cranial surgery. Some other information to share include the onsite D.O. Internal Medicine Residency program ongoing clinical studies and research No orthopedic spine competition Sub-specialty interests can be supported and TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES with medical students and PA students. The services they provide include Brain- tumors traumatic brain injuries brain hemorrhages facial pain hydrocephalus concussions. Spine- neck and back pain Disc Hemiations spinal fractures spinal tumors spondylolisthesis. There are Growth Opportunities as well. They have a strong referral base and well respected group working at capacity now. Currently 30 days out for elective surgery a comprehensive Neurosciences plan in place. Predicted need for neurological services to increase by 65% in the next 5 years. They have Advanced Technology as well including Microsurgery Brainlab Navigation Treatment Guidance Airo Intraoperative CT Scanner TrueBeam STxRadiosurgery for Brain and Spine Tumors and Intraoperative Neruomonitoring. They also have a great Support Staff to include Interventional radiologists on staff a dedicated neuro-radiology dedicated state-of-the-art OR with two dedicated Neurosurgery suites and acute rehab unit and Telemedicine / PASC support.. Compensation: Base salary – use MGMA compensation guidelines for the Midwest.
