Millennium Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Sr. Research Associate in Cambridge, MA with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Pharmacy or Biotechnology and 2 years related experience. Prior experience must include at least 2 years of experience with each of the following: performing formulation screening studies including short and long-term stability, shearing, freeze thaw, pilot scale up (Filter Flush) and in-use compatibility studies; performing bioprocess techniques like dialysis, tangential flow filtration (TFF), manual & automated filling (using Digiflex, Peristaltic Pump) of liquid formulations; performing protein characterization using UV-visible spectroscopy, size exclusion chromatography (SEC), cation exchange chromatography (CEX), imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (iCIEF), viscometers, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and differential scanning fluorimetry (DSF); performing prefilled syringe functional testing (Instron/Zwick), tensiometry, sub-visible particle analysis (HIAC, Micro-flow Imaging) and prefilled syringe silicone oil characterization (Zebrasci/RapID); developing biologic formulations in prefilled syringe, safety device and autoinjector container closure formats and design experiments evaluating formulation factors affecting injection pain.
