Job Description
Central Care, Inc., a leading provider of contract staffing services in the federal government healthcare sector, is currently seeking a Oral and maxillofacial Surgeon to provide full time or part time services at the US Army Dental Clinic on Fort Leonard Wood.
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon shall:
• Shall be a graduate of ADA-accredited dental school with either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
• Shall have a certificate of training from an ADA-accredited residency training program and be board eligible or board certified in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Shall possess a current, active, valid, and unrestricted license in at least one of the 50 states, and/or the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or territories of the United States. The license must remain current, active, valid, and unrestricted during the life of the contract.
• Shall have been employed for at least one (1) year on a full time basis in the practice of dentistry, or be a recent (1-year) graduate of an accredited, post-graduate dentistry training program.
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification is not required; however, providers possessing a DEA registration number (certification) current at the time of contract and must remain current through employment.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) that is approved by the American Heart Association and reads Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers in the subjects listed. Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons must be also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Job Responsibilities. The duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Serves as dental officer providing direct patient care in a dental and/or medical treatment facility.
• Provides direct patient care to those individuals presenting to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service. Patient care duties include but are not limited to: evaluation, examination, diagnosis, ordering of appropriate laboratory, x-ray, and diagnostic tests; interpretation of the dental and medical data; incorporating the data into the accurate diagnosis; and providing the proper treatment and patient care.
• Provides direct patient care to include but not limited to: dental alveolar surgery, conscious sedation and anesthesia, implants, treatment of minor odontogenic and non-odontogenic pathology, treatment of odontogenic infections, and maxillofacial trauma.
