HR Generalist

Qualifications Required

1. Requires knowledge of human resources practices, procedures and strategies normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field. Requires two to three years of related work experience.
2. Relatively high level of analytical skills needed to understand, interpret and exercise sound professional judgement and confidentiality in the analysis and understanding of human resource policies/procedures and objectives. Requires a highly organized and detail-oriented skillset in order to complete projects efficiently and accurately.
3. High level of interpersonal skills needed to professionally communicate and exchange information consistently, clearly, and objectively with staff, faculty, job candidates and other external stakeholders regarding human resources processes and policies/procedures.
4. Requires a high level of confidentiality for duties performed due to the high sensitivity of personnel data.
5. Requires working knowledge of college software applications in order to input data, produce reports, and analyze information. Requires knowledge of online hiring software and human resource information systems, including the ability to provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite in order to create and analyze spreadsheets, create word documents, design publications/job advertisements, communicate effectively through e-mail, etc.

General Summary

Serves as a liaison between the human resources department and staff, faculty, students and the public. Answers human resource related questions. Maintains personnel records, performs and audits personnel changes and generates personnel reports. Assists the human resources department in a variety of areas which include the hiring process, benefits, training & development and Title IX/compliance. Performs duties for the human resources office with complete confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in accordance with college policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Director of Plastic Injection Molding

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, plastics, or related field required. Certifications and other industry related credentials in plastic injection molding recommended. Advanced knowledge in field of instruction that requires invention, imagination and originality in order to research, develop and create curriculum and then instruct classes around content including but not limited to: scientific molding, cavity pressure, validating mold jigs, systematic molding, plastic technology and injection mold theory. Requires a comprehensive understanding of plastic injection molding and procedures involved in coordinating, facilitating and delivering training programs for manufacturing facilities. This level of knowledge is normally acquired through work related experience of three (3) to five (5) years in plastic injection molding. Substantial interpersonal skills to build relationships with students and negotiate with industrial customers and equipment vendors to obtain training contracts and equipment required. Requires a high level of analytical ability needed to deliver training programs and interpret scientific molding, state and federal safety regulations as well as complex blue prints. Most possess working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, e-mail, Internet, and administrative financial and budget applications for use in performing job duties and responsibilities.

General Summary

Responsible for leading and managing the Plastic Injection Molding Training Center activities and to serve as the lead trainer. Will ensure implementation of quality, cost, budget compliance and support of industry training needs. Has overall technical and administrative responsibility for the molding training center. Teach and facilitate plastic injection molding classes to Business and Industry from across the state and region. Establishes working relationships and lasting partnerships with vendors which are willing to provide high quality injection molding machines to the lab on a loan basis. Ensures compliance with CCC quality standards, policies, procedures and practices and all local, state, federal safety regulations.

Media Arts Instructor

Qualifications Required

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and obtained 18 graduate hours or a Master’s degree in Communications with a strong background in Digital Media production (i.e. Radio/TV/Film), Journalism/Print Media, Advertising/Public Relations, Videography, Photography and/or Communications Studies.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in digital media production, online journalism and media convergence and/or have progressive teaching experience in Communications from an accredited institution or higher education with a strong commitment to student learning and development.

The ideal candidate should also demonstrate continued growth through faculty development and participate in campus activities when available.

The Media Arts Department at Central Community College in Hastings, Nebraska is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of a Full-Time Media Arts Instructor to teach courses in our Media Arts AAS Degree specifically in the Broadcasting Specialization track, Photography Specialization and Video Production Specialization.
