Position Description
- In support of the United States Secret Service (USSS), deliver a new system built on a custom COTS (ServiceNow) platform.
- The Developer Mid is responsible for conducting development of various components for the new USSS Events Planning and Execution (EPE) application.
- Duties may include performing installation, configuration and hardening of the on-Prem ServiceNow aPaaS platform and configure key application services including, notifications, queues, scheduled tasks and more.
- Overall responsible to customize, configure and custom develop software in an agile fashion using the prescribed Agile practices following the government specified sprint and release cadences.
- The Developer Mid will work to provide the USSS a situational web application for both event planning and event execution functions that enables unified logistics planning, provisioning, scheduling and cost tracking actions and mobility surrounding protective, investigative, training or administrative events.



Your future duties and responsibilities
- Designs, develops, enhances, debugs and implements software.
- Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
- Researches, tests, builds and coordinates the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements.
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
- Evaluates effectiveness.
- Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
- Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
- Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
- Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- Acts as team leader on projects.
- Instructs, assigns, directs and checks the work of others on the development team.
- Participates in development of software user manuals and technical reports.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Experience developing web-based applications
- Experience with JavaScript or AngularJS

Desired:
- ServiceNow experience
- ServiceNow Certification
- Experience with ServiceNow PPM Suite
- Experience testing web based applications – both manual and automated
- Experience with functional, regression and load/performance testing
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Current USSS EOD or active DHS EOD or active DoD Secret clearance
- Prior experience working for/on federal client sites
