Position Description
CGI FEDERAL is looking for an Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer to be responsible for developing and supporting a number of reports for the customer’s financial management system. We are looking for a analyst/developer to provide exceptional requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and issue resolution support for the customer. We are seeking a junior analyst whom will be mentored by a senior reports developer in the customer’s business processes and software development life cycle methodology.


Your future duties and responsibilities
The desired candidate should have technical knowledge of large government business systems or ERPs, and a proven record of resolving complex business systems issues. The desired candidate must be able to prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written and tested. In addition, the desired candidate should become familiar with the customer's business processes, possess strong interpersonal and customer service skills, and be able to work independently and in a team environment. The desired candidate will be expected to overcome the learning curve and be able to proactively identify and execute processes to support the customer's top priorities and ensure mission success.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Required Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field) or equivalent and a minimum of five to seven years of related experience
Familiarization with phases of software life cycle design and development
Experience developing applications using SQR, BIRT, Business Objects, Cognos
Strong analytical skills and experience working with SQL, and PL/SQL.
Able to work effectively in a team environment
Experience in requirement analysis and technical written documentation.
Experience in development and testing of work products
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Must hold an active Top Secret Clearance; SCI is a plus, but not required.

Desired Qualifications:

Functional or Technical experience with momentum Financials and/or Acquisitions
Experience in Financial Management from a Systems Perspective
Knowledge of Financial/Acquisitions System Implementations
General understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
Experience with Momentum Back-End Database and Understanding of Momentum tables and relationships
