Position Description
Working as a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for creating requirements, use cases, and design documents. Requirements and designs should follow project standards and articulate the solution on an appropriate level. The business analyst will also provide client walkthrough of design documents, when requested, and work with the team to address review comments. In addition to requirements, the business analyst will participate in all phases of functional testing.


Your future duties and responsibilities
The Business Analyst will:

• Create wireframes/screen mock-ups and document process flow diagrams

• Lead requirements sessions, design meetings, or conduct individual interviews to elicit requirements regarding new or existing functionality

• Enter, track, and manage functional system or process issues

• Create systems documentation, help documentation, training documentation and user guides regarding functionality, processes, and user interaction for new or existing systems

• Create test plans, traceability matrices, test scenarios, and test cases for functionality testing

• Execute functionality testing and maintain accurate documentation regarding the test effort. Identify and log system incidents and defects and retest fixes.

• Provide support to user staff and external stakeholders during preparation and execution of user acceptance testing

• Provide support and/or knowledge transfer to functional and technical staff, internal users, and external users in the support and use of new or existing systems

• Provide general production support for a new and/or existing system



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Proficient in gathering requirements and working with business owners.

• Expert in Requirement documentation and articulating them with design, development and testing teams.

• Expert in creating, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Business Process Models, Use Cases and Modeling techniques.

• Ability to organize and manage large user workshops

• Expert in using requirement management tools like Rational Req Pro etc.

• Excellent communication and thought leadership skills

• Should have 2-5 years of business analysis experience

• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle.
