Job Description Data Migration Analyst - Momentum Financials

Position Description
The Data Migration Analyst will support efforts to define the data migration requirements and proposed solution for migrating data from numerous legacy systems and into Momentum’s data structure. The tasks include gathering existing data models, defining to-be data architecture, developing data migration strategies and overseeing conversion script development.


Your future duties and responsibilities
-Develop data migration strategy for conversion of financial management and procurement data from legacy systems into Momentum
-Identify, analyze issues, make recommendations, and escalate issues for resolution in a timely manner.
-Develop conversion process flows and prepare documentation supporting data migration approach.
-Identify data migration extract, transformation, and data load rule.
-Perform data mapping of source to target data sets.
-Identify and record data conversion requirements, as needed.
-Collaborate with functional work teams to achieve business results.
-Disseminate information across the team, and keep up to date with functional improvements of solution.
-Review, analyze, and develop data migration solutions to support To Be business models.
-Develop data migration test plans
-Develop conversion software and lead efforts during mock runs to refine conversion scripts.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
-Bachelor's Degree
-Have 4 to 6 years experience with data migration/conversion.
-Strong knowledge of data transformations and data migration design and implementation.
-The data conversion analyst have experience updating and streamlining PL/SQL for data conversion, executing and interpret SQL explain plans, managing Oracle 12c database environments, building and executing scripts via automation tools (such as Control-M, Redwood), knowledge of Momentum database structure and conversion execution paths, and experience performing large data conversion in ERP environment (legacy-to-ERP, ERP-to-ERP).
-Demonstrated experience leading and facilitating requirements sessions with customers
-Demonstrated experience leading teams to deliver desired outcomes.
-Strong background in functional analysis and requirements gathering, and solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
-Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and within a team
-Strong communication (written and verbal) skills are required and must be able to interface well with the end-users and client
-Must be able to work full-time at client site located in Washington DC
-Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.
