Position Description
As part of the Information Outsourcing (ITO) program for our client which provides critical services and support to meet the demands of the client, we are seeking a Data Warehouse and BI Analyst / Developer. CGI focuses on providing reliable and available information technology solutions to aid in ensuring that our client maintains decision advantage in performing all of its myriad missions.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will work closely with various development teams and Business managers to further enhance the data warehouse and reporting elements of the platform. Good technical knowledge of the OBIEE, SQL Server stack with strong core PL/SQL skills is essential along with a solid understanding of data warehousing design principles.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Support the current AR datawarehouse and BI environment
• Will work closely with business users and able to support month end, quarter end and year end reporting production cycles with ownership and accountability
• Load and validate ETL data into the regulatory reporting DW.
• Comply with the standard release cycle and deployment controls
• Perform all application unit and system testing, as appropriate
• Support users with adhoc queries relating to regulatory reporting.
• Support the loading and integrity of the data warehouse.
• Create data dictionary’s and proper documentation on the DW_ warehouse (Oracle DB)
• Gather Business Requirements
• Support requirements and design of future reporting needs (regulatory and internal).
• Will be responsible for production support.
• Must adhere to all internal IT policies and controls while handling sensitive financial production data.
• Solid Oracle OBIEE skills with 11g or later
• Solid SQL Server Development skills
• Experience of writing ETL Packages
• Data Warehousing Design Experience
• Experience of working within a large database development project team)
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
• Prior Experience in Regulatory and Compliance Reporting will be an added advantage
• Prior experience of supporting internal management reporting will also be considered as an advantage
