Job Description ERP Database Administrator

Position Description
CGI is seeking an ERP DBA to work within a team in environment at a client site in Northern Virginia. The Database Administrator is responsible for performance, integrity and security of all databases and will translate date, application and process requirements into appropriate database solutions.


Your future duties and responsibilities
•Install, configure, maintain (upgrade and patch) an ERP database
•Create, monitor, optimize database performance utilizing advanced performance tuning skills
•Automate recurring or redundant database tasks
•Maintain database integrity, availability, and restorability
•Execute and automate database refreshes
•Work in an Agile Scrum environment
•Provide on-call support which can require analysis and trouble shooting of complex issues
•Lead and contribute to design discussions in a cross-functional project setting
•Develop database standards, guidelines and best practices
•Design and architect solutions which often require complex system integration
•Perform capacity planning and project estimation
•Evaluate and research new database features, version and technologies



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•5+ years ERP database administration experience in a data warehouse environment (managing multiple databases)
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent (experience in lieu of a degree)
•Oracle 12c experience is required
•Experience with configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery, sizing and space management, PL/SQL tuning, diagnostics, and proficiency in the use of Oracle’s Enterprise Manager
•Candidate must have a Top Secret clearance
•Outstanding communication and troubleshooting skills
