Position Description
We’re currently hiring multiple Data Conversion Specialists with ETL experience to join our team in support of a Child Welfare/SACWIS system we are delivering for a State Government. Will be working and interacting with a team of people in both onsite and offsite locations to help provide the overall solution

Location: Columbus, OH, Richmond, VA, or Charleston, WV

Your future duties and responsibilities
Lead the conversion requirements review and definition for a particular module
•Work closely with clients and internal team to understand and define data conversion requirements
•Analyze client data and identify/address problems that may impact the conversion process
•Write scripts to convert potentially complex client data for load into staging database
•Create a source target mapping, transformation and load design
•Facilitate, participate and contribute to Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions and the collection of conversion requirements
•Creation and management of requirements traceability matrix
•Document and communicate conversion related issues
•Run import application to import the scripted data and diagnose/resolve import errors
•Participate in product development by providing detailed feedback for bug fixes and enhancements
•Combine business/technical knowledge to determine effective approaches in achieving project goals
•Execute mock data loads
•Perform dry runs and executing production data loads
•Participate in application testing and validation processes



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•5 - 7+ years of ETL design and development experience
•5 - 7+ years of Transactional-SQL development experience
•5 - 7+ years of Oracle database experience
•Experience leading conversion requirements analysis and design sessions
•Experience in facilitation of conversion sessions
•Experience in the creation of all levels of functional documentation for analysis and design, testing, and training
•Proven expertise with ETL code execution to load data from legacy to target database
•Experience with ETL tools, particularly Informatica products, is desired
•Results oriented examples with developing conversion test cases and test scripts using SQL queries
•Ability to create and understand SQL queries
•Documented data conversion experience
•Experience in the creation and update of online user procedures, on-line help, on-line policy documentation, user manuals, technical training and transition plan
•Functional database experience
•Ability to create, monitor and execute test scripts
•Solid skills in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Access
•Ability to plan and organize technical projects; experience with deadlines for project completion
•Advanced skills in analysis/organization of project related tasks according to required specifications
•Demonstrated strength with a data modeling tool
•Demonstrated understanding of data model entities and their relationships
•Proven experience with performing data analysis, data mapping and reporting data issues
•Has experience in the agile environment and understands how to elicit requirements and develop user stories
•Excellent communication skills with client and peer resources as well as project leaders

Desired additional experience
• Prior Ohio, Tennessee or Michigan Child Welfare development and testing experience is preferred.
• Prior Child Welfare experience


Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field; or equivalent work experience
