Integration Engineer
Position Description
Responsible for the design, development, implementation and ongoing support of interface integration engine processing HL7 (CDA, C-CDA), claims and custom message formats transmitted from hospitals to the CDC.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Participate in the design, development, deployment, implementation and ongoing support of an industry integration engine.
Adjust and tailor the engine to ingest, parse, process, edit, and output data into a SQL database.
Provide domain expertise supporting hospitals transmitting data. Also support CDC and CGI team members diagnosing and resolving issues.
Participate in the development of specifications, and documentation for various constituents.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
5 years of experience participating in the design, development, deployment, implementation and ongoing support of an industry integration engine.
Bachelor’s Degree desired, additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Knowledge and experience with implementing and supporting the receipt and processing of HL7 CDA, C- CDA, 837 and custom message formats transmitted from hospitals
Experience with the Orion Health, Rhapsody integration engine
Strategic planning for technical and functional environments
Willingness to Support High Visibility Projects with Tight Timelines
Customer support management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Potential work after hours, weekends, and holidays
Desired
Public Health, Prior CDC experience, and experience with Direct HISP
