Position Description
CGI currently has an urgent requirement for a Senior JAVA Front End Developer for an exciting opportunity in the Ottawa area. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Your future duties and responsibilities
Our client is building a team of agile development specialists who will build and deliver a user centered solution in partnership with our client. We are looking to add an expert Front End Developer with a keen eye for the latest technological trends and development methodologies.
As a Sr. Front End Developer, you will take an active role in shaping our solutions technical direction. You will be part of a fast-growing and pioneering working environment, delivering a highly visible mission critical solution within the Canadian financial sector.
As a Senior Front End Developer you will be responsible for design, coding and testing of a large complex Single Page Application. The solution will be built using Angular 4 and Java and includes micro services and event driven architecture in the solution design. A secondary responsibility will be mentoring and building the development capabilities of the projects other front end developers.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
For this position you should have extensive JavaScript framework knowledge, strong Angular 2 and Angular 4 skills, experience of at least one other major framework (React, Vue, Ember etc.), expert HTML and JavaScript skills, and experience developing highly function web user interfaces.
