Position Details Job order - J0218-1129 - Permanent Full Time Title Java/J2EE Developer Category Software Development/ Engineering City Lafayette, Louisiana, United States Job Description Java/J2EE Developer Position Description CGI is looking for a Java/J2EE Developer to join our custom software development project. You will join a team of professionals that have been supporting a long standing federal project and have the ability to immediately make a difference. Your future duties and responsibilities Resolve root cause of issues discovered in testing post development. This includes proper use of tools to discover root cause. Developer will be required to discover root cause of problems in code the developer has not developed personally. Demonstrate an understanding of development best practices and must be willing to review work with project leads. Other responsibilities include: • Work directly with other technical/functional analysts and business users in understanding the information needs of the business and designing and developing code to meet the requirements • Work with the functional team to ensure understanding of requirements and technical specifications. Required qualifications to be successful in this role • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3+ years of J2EE design and development experience (additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education) • Must demonstrate strong project skills including the ability to work diligently, to adapt to flexible requirements, to process business requirements and to assist in requirement gathering • Experience in Java, Hibernate, Oracle, optimizing queries • Experience in any of the CI tools Subversion, Jenkins, Maven, etc • Working knowledge of Javascript and JQuery • Excellent Analytical skills • Flexibility/Adaptability is required • Excellent Organization and Time Management skills • Excellent Communication skills and working in a team environment • Ability to Multi-task Required Skills • J2EE • Hibernate • Spring, Spring MVC, Spring WebFlow • JSF 2.0, PrimeFaces, JQuery, JavaScript • JBoss/Tomcat • Oracle • US Citizenship required with ability to successfully obtain an agency specific security clearance (e.g., criminal and credit).
