Position Description
CGI's Banking Services Division is involved in a large Data Management application development initiative that new requires the skills of an established JAVA Technical Architect
Your future duties and responsibilities
The initiative involves developing data lakes (Hadoop) based applications. As a JAVA Technical Architect, you will work with our Hadoop Architect to determine the best technical solution to meet design requirements. This will require your reviewing high level design documents and recommending JAVA based technologies and approach for delivery of the solution.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
10 + Years of experience in designing/ architecting solutions using Core Java / J2EE / Spring framework / MVC;
Experience in Financial industry preferable;
Ability to provide technology leadership from concept to completion of projects
Web Services/ RESTFUL API
Strong knowledge on Databases (preferably Sybase) - Data management / data warehousing / data lakes
Strong in business communication
