Position Description
CGI Federal is actively seeking a Lead Systems Engineer and DODAF Architect to work on the next generation of the Army Acquisition System.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
• Develops and manages the development of solution-specific DODAF architecture artifacts, models and viewpoints; maintain documentation to ensure architecture remains consistent with current solution configurations and designs across all releases and sustainment
• Updates documentation for compliance with the prevailing release of the DoD Business Enterprise Architecture (BEA)
• Perform systems engineering activities within an agile program environment.
• Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, system integration, and configuration management.
• Create performance metrics and traceability maps to determine the effectiveness of architecture solutions and facilitate governance.
• Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of contract writing systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
• Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
• Other duties as required.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• B.S degree in related technical field and 8-12 years prior relevant experience
• 5-8 years of direct DOD IT architecture and analysis experience
• Experience developing requirements, user stories (Agile), test cases and / or architecture to satisfy mission objectives and integrate into a system of systems environment
• Knowledgeable in Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), DOD Information Enterprise and DOD Cyber Strategy, architecture standards, DODAF architecture artifacts, models and viewpoints, analytical processes
• Experience working with users to understand operational conditions to synthesize system and software requirements and user interfaces.
• Well-versed in various maturity models such as CMMI, governance models (review boards, etc.), and DOD engineering and acquisition milestones (5000,75, SE SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR)
• Experience in authoring documents (CONOPS, reports, briefings, etc,) to support customer missions
• Demonstrated ability to apply the engineering design process to discover innovative methods to solve technical problems and meet client requirements
• Excellent presentation preparation, briefing skills and project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to independently determine and develop approach to solutions
• Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills
• Able to multi-task, self-assign work, and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in ARIS Proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Visio, & PowerPoint)
• Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance
• US Citizenship is required
