Microsoft System Center Engineer
Position Description
Provide System Center engineer support services to design, develop, install, configure, test, and migrate the Microsoft System Center 2012 R2 to System Center 2016.
Your future duties and responsibilities
You will design, develop, and implement a new architecture for System Center 2016 to include:
(1) Migration of the features, functions, and data from CRS’ existing instance of SC 2012 R2
(2) New Design for Virtual Machine Manager, Orchestrator and App Controller in 2016
(3) Configuration and implementation of management packs for all Microsoft based applications. T
The process of planning the new site definitions and architecture will include pro-actively identifying architectural flaws in the existing Portal architecture. There are currently 90 such sites in the existing site collection. This environment controls the provisioning and ongoing maintenance of approximately 500 physical and virtual servers and 1100 end point devices.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Must provide demonstrated experience with:
- Software development
- System Center 2012 R2 & 2016
- System Center data migration methodology
- Operations Manager
- Virtual Machine Manager
- Configuration of Management Packs
- Software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Both white box and black box testing
- Automated testing tools
- SQL and scripting
- Agile/Scrum development process
- Performance and/or security testing is a plus
