Job Description Mid-Tier Technical Support Analyst

Position Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join CGI, a world-class IT company, for a permanent role to providing leading IT services to our local clients.

We are searching for a Technical Support Analyst to join our Mid-tier team supporting web portal applications, working in multiple environments using a range of technologies. This role includes the installation and configuration of application containers, code migrations, troubleshooting technical issues, process documentation, and close collaboration with the client and other teams within the organization.



Your future duties and responsibilities
Coordination of code deployments to production and non-production environments;
Performance and availability monitoring
Configuration and management of middleware technologies including: application servers Glassfish, RedHat EAP, Tomcat
Administration of existing application tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Version Control Repository (GIT)
Troubleshooting database issues, querying and updating database records in SQL.
Troubleshooting web application issues, reviewing server logs and Java stack traces to identify problems.
Troubleshooting web services, creating and running SOAP request using SOAPUI.
Monitoring and resolving Tier 2 tickets in an ITSM system.
Support for production and non-production environments on Linux and Windows Server platforms
Maintenance and development of scripts using Bash shell scripts and Window’s PowerShell
Creating and managing automated test scripts in Selenium



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Minimum 2 year College Diploma (Computer Related)
Minimum 1-2 years supporting some of the following technologies as listed above
Application Server experience
SOAP and XML
SQL experience
UNIX and Windows Server platforms
Shell scripting
