Job Description Mobile Development Architect

Position Description
CGI is seeking to hire a Mobile Development Architect within our Hartford Connecticut Account of CGI's East Business Unit. This is a full time position. In this role, you will manage and deliver components of client engagements that identify, design, and implement technology and creative Mobile solutions for large companies.


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Participate in pre-sales client workshops, provide solution architect /technical architect support to the teams in RFI/RFP process
• Analyze client processes, identify automation opportunities, define Mobile value proposition, reengineer process to improve automation potential and recommend Mobile approach/strategy
• Develop Detail As Is Process Description - PDD (Process Description Document), Detail To Be Automated Process Description - SDD (Solution Design Document)
• Conduct Mobile High Level Assessments
• Develop Mobile client architecture and solution proposal focusing on scalability and extensibility
• Work with the Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop high level project plans for implementation projects
• Have exposure to wide variety of technology problems and their solutions and use that to drive the adoption of best practices around coding, design, quality, and performance in the team
• Provides continuous advice to Mobile developers and Project Manager during project delivery

Key responsibilities include:
• Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures.
• Formulate planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting strategies.
• Manage full life cycle implementations.
• Develop statements of work and/or client proposals.
• Identify business opportunities to increase usability and profitability of information architecture.
• Experience with program leadership, governance and change enablement.
• Develop and manage vendor relationships.
• Lead workshops for client education.
• Manage resources and budget on client projects.
• Assist and drive the team by providing oversight.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience developing enterprise-grade, cross-platform mobile and desktop apps using Cordova and Electron
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES5 and ES6) for browsers and servers (Node.js, npm), JSON, and using REST APIs
• Familiar with MV* and UI frameworks like AngularJS, React, or Vue.js
• Knowledge of UI libraries like Framework7, Semantic UI, or Bootstrap
• Experience using cloud services like Azure or AWS
• Familiar with development tools like Visual Studio, Git, Grunt, Sass, Jasmine
• Experience with TypeScript, C#, Xamarin, React Native, NativeScript, Swift, Objective-C, or Android Java would be assets
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies for rapid development
• Able to learn new technologies and programming languages quickly
• Mentor team members

Nice to have…
• .Net UWP development experience
• iOS and/or Android native and hybrid development experience
• Any touch UI development experience
- Azure API gateway (or is this included in the Azure topic)
- Windows 10 OS and IOS platform

Must have
• Debugging and problem solving skills (particularly knowing how to read stack-traces)

Education:
University Bachelors Degree
