Position Details Job order - J0717-1603 - Permanent Full Time Title Momentum Sr. Functional Analyst Category ERP/CRM/Tools City Washington, District of Columbia, United States Job Description Momentum Sr. Functional Analyst Position Description CGI Federal is seeking an experienced Federal Financial Analyst to work on site in Washington, DC. This person will support the Securities & Exchange Commission by providing their expertise, guidance, consultation, facilitation, and thought leadership to the client and/or project team. We are looking for a candidate who has experience with federal financial management, such as Momentum Financials, Oracle Financials and/or SAP. The position requires hands-on experience in multiple functional areas within federal government financial management. Your future duties and responsibilities - Throughout the SDLC, interfacing with multiple stakeholders and teams including those focused on software development, business analysis, change management, configuration management, QA, etc. - Participating in and being a major contributor to Joint Application Developments (JAD) sessions, Interviews, Workshops and Requirement Elicitation sessions, sessions with stakeholders including technical resources from the client. - User requirements gathering, use case design & analysis, use case specifications, and documentation of business processes, work flow diagrams, and process flows. - Transforming business requirements into software requirement specifications. - Analyzing and creating use cases, use case diagrams, activity diagrams, class diagrams, data flow diagrams, business flow diagrams, navigational flow diagrams and sequence diagrams. - Reviewing or defining test procedures, creating detailed test plans. Interacting with the testing team in executing the test plan, providing test data, creating test cases, issuing defects upon detection of bugs and collecting test metrics. - System deployment planning and execution. - GUI Testing, Functionality Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Performance Testing, and Stress Testing. - Daily interaction with the client and project manager. Required qualifications to be successful in this role - Minimum 7 – 10 yrs of relevant experience. - Experience with federal financial systems preferred. - Experience with federal accounting principles preferred. - Experience with Momentum Financials a plus. - Experience with software functional design and coordination with technical team members regarding software development activities. - Strong communication skills including presentation skills and ability to create formal functional system documentation. - Researching, analyzing and communicating complex functional topics to end users at a variety of levels. - Taking ownership of defined duties and responsibilities. Proactively identifying issues and addressing them personally, or escalating them to CGI project management for resolution. - Experience with and knowledge of other related disciplines including: change management, project management, planning and implementation support for large scale enterprise wide information system. - Be flexible to put in the hours needed to meet tight deadlines; Flexibility to work around client's schedule.
