Job Description Network Administrator

Position Description
The person who fills this position will be joining a dynamic team with an established local client in Application development and delivery.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Experienced Network Administrator with 5+ years experience

• Fulfill Network Administrator duties in a backup role, supporting the Primary Network Administrator.
• Install, configure, maintain, update and troubleshoot networking services, including the following:
Windows 2008 Server R2 Standard
Windows 7 Professional
Sun/Oracle Solaris
Red Hat Linux
Microsoft Active Directory
Anti-virus systems
Cisco ASA firewalls, routers and switches
Enterasys switches



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Experience with fiber optics
• Experience with TCP/IP and Ethernet
• Knowledge of OSI network model
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems
• Experience with Domain Name System (DNS)
• Experience with scripting languages such as PERL and BASH
• Experience with mission critical/real time control systems
• Formal education in networking principles and engineering

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
• Experience with the Emerson Distributed Control System
• WESGate datalinks
• SCADA Server datalinks
• Enterprise Data Server (EDS)
• WDPF WESNet Highway
• Ovation Process Historian (OPH)
• Ovation Controllers
• Ovation Data Highway
• Ovation Roles and Security
• Ovation R-Line IO
• WDPF Q-Line IO
Network certification
Cybersecurity certification
