Job Description OpenText System Administrator

Position Description
CGI currently has an urgent requirement for an OpenText System Administrator for a long term contract OR full-time/permanent opportunity in the Ottawa area. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Install, upgrade, maintain and monitor the OpenText Content Server 2010 (or newer) Enterprise
• Application (GCDocs) for the development, testing and production environments;
• Develop or update documentation outlining software, hardware, configuration and all processes
• for different environments;
• Monitor, maintain and optimize the OpenText Content Server 2010 (or newer) (GCDocs)
• Application in the Development, Testing, Quality Assurance, Training and Production
• environments
• Perform application patching and upgrade following TBS procedures;
• Provide analysis on system performance and recommend improvements to optimize servers and
• OpenText Content Server 2010 (or newer) Enterprise Application (GCDocs);
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and develop related documents;
• Develop work plans for system changes and upgrades;
• Support and assist with the day-to-day operations and provide expertise on issues;
• Support Project Teams throughout the development and implementation phases of the projects;
• Provide knowledge transfer;
• Support with new version deployment;
• Provide Status Reports.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• a University degree* in a computer science, information management (IM) or information technology (IT).

OR

• a post-secondary degree* in a computer science, information management (IM) or information technology (IT).

• resource has a minimum of twenty-four (24) months experience administering* Open Text Content Server 2010 application.

OR


• a diploma* in a computer science, information management (IM) or information technology (IT)

• resource has a minimum of twenty-four (24) months experience administering* Open Text Content Server 2010 application.

• resource has a minimum of sixty (60) cumulative months of experience performing all of following:

i. Installations on servers
ii. Configuration on servers
iii. Testing software on servers.

• resource has a minimum of sixty (60) months cumulative of experience performing all of the following:

i. Conducting client service support
ii. Analyzing trouble call data
iii. Producing associated reports
iv. Implementing necessary corrective actions.

• the resource possesses cumulative months of experience scripting with Web based programming language in any of the following:

i. C#
ii. PowerShell.

• The resource possesses cumulative months of experience performing the installation and configuration of LiveLink EM Suite or OpenText Content Server using any of the following:
i. Oracle 10g or higher
ii. MS SQL 2005 or higher.

• The resource possesses cumulative months of experience working in a Federal Government Information Systems environment including any of the following:

i. RDIMS
ii. Live Link ECM suite
iii. OpenText Content Server 2010 (GCDocs)

• OpenText Certification is an asset
