Position Description
CGI is hiring an Oracle Database Developer to join our team in Herndon, VA. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to grow your career with the 5th largest IT services provider in the world. Your future duties and responsibilities
Include the design and implementation of business applications using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, as well as RDBMS. Additionally, you should have the ability to develop materialized views for data replication in distributed environments.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Minimum 8+yrs experience as DBA or database developer
- Expertise in application development using Oracle 12c, 11g
- Ability to effectively make use of Table Functions, Indexes, Table Partitioning
- Experience with the use of Collections, Analytical functions and Materialized Views
- Strong knowledge on logical and physical Data Modeling using normalizing techniques
- Expertise in the creation of databases, table spaces, tables, indexes, users, grants, etc.
- Ability to develop database objects like Stored Procs, Functions, Packages, and Triggers
- Working knowledge of features such as Query Optimizer, Execution Plans and Indexes
- Experience with Performance Tuning for Oracle RDBMS using Explain Plan and HINTS
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Experience with manual scripting using SQL and PL/SQL
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
