Position Description
This position provides IT Enterprise solutions, manages large-scale, mission-critical IT Programs and provides mission support services.

The successful candidate must be able to create, update, configure, manage and administer databases for Oracle 10G and 11G environments for databases, OEM, OAS, WebLogic, Portal, SSO, SQL Server and STIG. The enterprise environment consists of Real Application Clusters (RAC) and stand-alone databases. The successful candidate must be able to work in a dynamic environment with stakeholders, team members and government sponsors to manage Oracle database software over various operating systems such as Red Hat Linux, SunOS, Windows, HP-UX and VMWare. The successful candidate must be able to create, edit and execute scripts to process data and perform software updates. The candidate must be able to create instances to include control files, redo logs, archive log and other parameters as required. Will be relied on to provide IT project management guidance/input and expertise for projects and special projects as needed. The candidate must be able to integrate DBMS(s) and data with existing application software, web sites, portals, storage devices or business applications as well as assisting and testing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP). Must be able to recover database failures, DBMS and data using RMAN, exports, FLASHBACK, VMWare snapshots, etc.



Your future duties and responsibilities
Conduct in depth analyses of logistics business process and value stream mapping of the MARCORLOGCOM applications
Develop system solutions for LIS identified in functional systems requirements documents, system change requests, system modifications request, and incident reports.

Conduct feasibility studies, trade-off, and gap analyses of the systems identified by MARCORLOGCOM

Assist in the development, updating, testing, implementing and phase out activities of software for systems identified by MARCORLOGCOM.

Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing of updated LIS systems.

Assist in the development of system requirements to parallel overall business strategies.

Coordinate and participate in all phases of software development, or modernization with emphasis on the planning, analysis, documentation testing, implementation and phase out activities.

Recommending/proposing performance metrics, Standard Operating Procedures to assist in providing faster, accurate and reliable services across the entire operational environment.

Working with customers, as required to analyze performance issues and determine problem resolution.

Communicating with internal/external parties to provide update status, analyze simple to complex problems and determine possible solutions to technical and procedural issues that may arise.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 5 years of Oracle DBA experience
• Must meet the IAT Level II certification requirements of DoD 8570
• IA Baseline Certification: Security+
• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or 4 years of relative experience in lieu of)
• Must possess an active Secret clearance
• Must be able to work 8 hours during a 12 hour shift (6:00 am-2:30pm or 10:00am - 6:00pm)
• Must be able to work Saturday's or after hours when requested
Oracle WebLogic Suite experience with SSO, IDM, OAM is a plus.
