Position Description
We are building a new digital team of agile development specialists to build and deliver user centered services and solutions in partnership with our clients based in Atlantic Canada. We need developers with a keen eye for the latest technological trends and development methodologies to join our fast growing team.
As an Oracle DBA you will join us at the beginning of this journey, taking an active role in shaping our future plans and technical direction. You will be part of a fast-growing and pioneering working environment, delivering new and innovative projects.
Your future duties and responsibilities
As an Oracle DBA you will undertake development and management of Oracle databases using Agile practices. You’ll be responsible for coding, testing and maintaining databases in a collaborative team environment.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
As an Oracle DBA you should have strong and demonstrable understanding of Oracle database development and maintenance.
5 years experience as a DBA
• Solution Analysis
• Experience with Oracle
• Experience with Database Performance Tuning
• Minimum 2-year post-secondary education in IT or related disciple.
• Attention to detail
• Excellent technical documentation skills
• Strong analytical skills; ability to root cause data issues
• Knowledge of Software Development principles
Nice To Have Technical Skills
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
