Position Description
The CGI GIS Organization is seeking a Oracle DBA with experience implementing and maintaining Oracle databases in a multi-tenant environment. Our DBA team supports a wide range of customers and varied applications.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Managing database on all flavors of UNIX (SUN, AIX, LINUX, HP) & Wintel.

> Task scripting, monitoring, and performance evaluation techniques.

> Diagnostic testing and in-depth troubleshooting

Installation of software in stand-alone and replicated environments

> Backup technologies RMAN, Enterprise Backup for full and

> High-availability implementations such as RAC and AMS replication and sharing.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must have production and/or development database administration experience

> Experience creating, upgrading, and administrating Oracle database servers

> Ability to install, backup, restore, monitor, plan capacity, replicate, recover, tune performance, design, and troubleshoot

> Experience administrating database accounts according to department security and account management policies

> Experience in multi-node setup, clustering, and load balancing

> Experience with Oracle tools such as Grid Control

> Experience developing scripts using SQL, automating database tasks


Oracle: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience; Intermediate

RAC: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience; Intermediate

Golden Gate: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience; Intermediate

Data Guard: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience; Intermediate

SQL Server and MySQL: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience; Intermediate

Sybase: 1 to 3 Years of industry IT experience, Intermediate
