Position Description
CGI is seeking candidates for a Oracle DBA position with a strategic client in the Corporate and Investment Banking Industry in Central, NJ. The scope of the project involves the delivery of Data Encryption services. The project is executed in a global delivery model including business center in NY, offshore team and other stakeholders located globally.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with Key Program Stakeholders to provide solutions that meet strategic business goals and requirements as well as:
• Manage and administer databases for Oracle environments
• Maintain database integrity, availability, and restorability
• Edit and execute scripts to process data
• Participate in project and detailed task planning including effort estimation
• Interact with testing and development teams to resolve problems
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 10+ years’ of Oracle DBA experience including experience in configuration, load balancing, backup/recovery (RMAN), sizing and space management, and diagnostics.
• 5+ years of configuring/maintaining Oracle RAC and Oracle ASM.
• 3+ years of Oracle Exadata experience is required.
• Experience with Database Performance tuning
• Experience with Incident and change management including working experience with ticketing tool.
• Knowledge of Shell Scripting (Writing and Troubleshooting)
• Strong knowledge of SDLC including, waterfall and agile models of development
• Ability to work in an agile environment, problem solve, and manage teams effectively
• Global delivery experience a plus
• Should be very good in communication and be able to work independently.
• Transparent data encryption, additional security work related knowledge is desired
