Job Description Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Description
CGI's Lafayette, LA based On Shore IT Services Delivery Center is seeking several Quality Assurance Engineers to join our Cigna Healthcare team.

The selected candidates will have:

-Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience required to support complete life-cycle testing (integration, functional, user-acceptance, regression).

-Primary Skills: Mainframe, DB2, Oracle, SQL, ALM and Agile Experience

-Must understand and demonstrate Database concepts, SQL query techniques and application architecture.

-Experienced in the design/development of the user experience with knowledge of usability best practices.

-Very strong experience in the Health Care industry

-Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, specifically Microsoft Dynamics version 2013 a plus.

-Experience with Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) health care reform projects a plus.

-Lead and own all test deliverables for the project

-Manual and automated testing experience in validating web applications, application integrations, reports and database code.

-Experience in preparing Test Plan and Test Strategies.

-Well versed with Agile and iterative development approach

-Develop detailed test cases and test data required for end to end application testing

-Review and understand application requirements and validate end to end application functionality

-Assist functional and technical team in implementing application migration

- Additional experience with PEGA, or Automation capabilities with UFT, Selenium is a plus.



Your future duties and responsibilities
- Interviewing skills, to talk with individuals and groups about their needs and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.

- Listening skills, to understand what people say and to detect what they might be hesitant to say.

- Analytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a more general understanding, distinguish presented user requests from the underlying true needs, and distinguish solution ideas from requirements.

- Facilitation skills, to lead requirements elicitation workshops.

- Observational skills, to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for elicitation.

- Writing skills, to communicate information effectively (simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely) to customers, managers, and technical staff.

- Organizational skills, to work with the vast array of information gathered during elicitation and analysis and to cope with rapidly changing information.

- Results oriented with high regard for personal accountability.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative.

- Team player.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Educational Requirement

Bachelors degree in Business or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience, typically 2 - 8 years of solid, diverse work experience in IT preferably within the health insurance or employee benefits field.
