Position Details Job order - J0717-0877 - Permanent Full Time Title SAP Basis Developer Category Software Development/ Engineering City San Diego, California, United States Job Description SAP Basis Developer Position Description POSITION DESCRIPTION The BASIS resource will be responsible for various SAP landscape activities such as environment installs, system copies, performance tuning, trouble shooting, transports and upgrades. Your future duties and responsibilities • Hands on experience in SAP installation, upgrade, migrations of ECC 6.X, CRM, Enterprise Portal, PI/PO, SAP BW, BOBJ, BW on HANA, Solution Manager, GRC, HP Quality ALM, Open Text VIM/content server, Stream serve • Installation & Upgrade experience of Success Factors, Ariba on Demand, and other Net Weaver components • Public sector SAP IS-PS and SAP IS-U experience is required. • Must have hands on SAP BW/BI Basis Admin experience in relation to troubleshooting and fine tuning of the large volume data loads, pre and post system copy processes, and BW on HANA administration. • System Administration: Linux, Windows, SQL Server, SAP HANA, ABAP and Java Stacks • SAP HANA: Handling SAP HANA Administration, Installation and Patch upgrades. HANA Backup and Restore, HANA user security, HANA System Copy/Refresh using HDB backup/recovery methods • Process Integration/Orchestration (PI/PO): Performed installation and post-installation steps of PI/PO. • Solution Manager: Basic configuration, Business Monitoring configuration set up, using Solution Manager for automatic triggering of emails for alerts. • Enterprise portal: Installation, upgrade experience of Enterprise portal, Configure maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) between Portal and SAP systems. Performance tuning of EP. • Expertise in SAP Basis Client administration, System Landscape design, Spool management and transport strategy, TMS and Performance Tuning. • Best practice knowledge of procedures and policies for post implementation support, backups, and recoveries, and disaster recovery strategy for all SAP Applications. • Experience on Transport Management System (TMS) including performing transports troubleshoots transport problems and resolve. • Setup RFC connections and created partner profiles with various inbound and outbound parameters. • Provide Onsite and on call support • Attend service review meetings covering performance, service improvements, quality, and processes. • Own incident, problem, and change management across all competencies including the technical part of the SAP application as well as infrastructure • Interface with all delivery competencies including app, db, and infrastructure also including service center to resolve issues. • Communicate to Client, BASIS Leads, Managers and SAP Service Delivery Manager on major escalations. • Provide Client Satisfaction from delivery. Required qualifications to be successful in this role • HARDWARE/SOFTWARE PACKAGES • Experience in Hana landscape support is required • Utilities and Public Sector Experience is a plus • HANA Certification is a plus • Solution Manager/Fiori Certification is a plus • ECC, HANA, Portal, IS-U, PI, PO BI and BW environments • Prior experience with SAP Basis and SAP Netweaver and MSSQL • SAP Basis and SAP Netweaver and Security EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • A Bachelors and/or a Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science • At least 5years of external consulting OR corporate experience in the SAP Basis space.
