Position Description
Synopsis: The Operational Environment Training Support Center (OE TSC) provides the central management for the Training Brain Repository. The Training Brain facilitates and acts as the principal enabler for continuous learning across all TRADOC lines of effort through acquiring, analyzing, creating, organizing, applying and transferring data, information, and knowledge in the context of current and future operations. The Training Brain quickly and accurately represents the Operational Environment (OE) using a set of dynamic, integrated analytical processes, information technologies, knowledge networks, and tailored delivery applications. It connects with, develops, and maintains real-world databases necessary to replicate the complex, competitive nature of the OE. The Training Brain seeks out, explores, and integrates technologies and methods to assist in representing environments, events, and capabilities across all Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) domains. Duty is at the OE-TSC in Ft Eustis, VA.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Basic Functions:
The Operational Environment Training Support Center (OE TSC) Gaming and Visualizations (G&V) branch provides 3D visualizations and dynamic scenarios replicating the operational environments encountered by Department of Defense personnel. These products are used throughout the individual, collective, and institutional training bases. The OE-TSC G&V Scenario Developer would be responsible for the development of all areas of the OE-TSC’s constructive and virtual training methods, techniques and procedures.
Primary duties of the Scenario Developer include:
1. Develop products for virtual and constructive simulations to include Virtual Battle Space 3 (VBS3), OneSAF, JSAF, and other simulations and games.
2. Assist the Gaming and Visualizations technical development team in the development of an integration and implementation strategy for constructive and virtual training systems.
3. Support the OE-TSC multi-echelon training mission
4. Assist in the design of 3D visualizations and virtual exercise scenarios based on current blue, green, gray, and red TTP
5. Assist the OE-TSC G&V branch in the creation of DVD products based on 3D visualization of current events and training scenarios
6. Assist in the research of new software applications with regards to constructive and virtual training.
7. Attend all meetings and briefings pertinent to the acquisition of information regarding recent battlefield events.
8. Assist in the conversion of real-time battlefield events into scenario data.
9. Develop, refine, and present G&V briefings to visiting personnel.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Background Requirements:
• Experience building scenarios in and scripting (SQF) for VBS3 is highly desired.
• Serious game (i.e. games for training) experience (level design and programming) is highly desired.
• Experience with the OneSAF simulation and other gaming engines (Unity, Unreal, etc) is desired.
• Knowledge of Army simulations and modeling policies, principles, and practices desired
• Knowledge of Army automated command and control systems (ABCS) and battlefield information systems desired
• Knowledge of MCTP simulations standards, policies, and procedures to analyze and advise mangers on systems matters and evaluate the need for changes in existing policies and procedures desired
• Extensive knowledge of presentation applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint
• A team player who works well with others.
• Ability to prioritize several tasks at once, able to solve problems individually and as a team.
• Valid US passport for travel internationally; 10% travel frequency expectation
• Previous military/deployment experience preferred
• Secret clearance is required; TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Must be eligible for TS/SCI.
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required.
