Position Description
CGI Federal is seeking a Secretary III to support the CIVIL division of The Department of Justice in Washington DC


Your future duties and responsibilities
1. Receives OBD 47s (Request For Expert Witness/Litigative Consultant services) and enters all relevant information into an Access database and UFMS (Unified Financial Management System) generating a contract number. Ensures that a complete package has been submitted. Ensures the timeliness and accuracy of all entries. Follows up with the attorney to obtain any missing information/documents. Obtains signatures via faxing or emailing (pdf) on contracts from experts/lits.
2. Prepares and maintains files and records covering work of the Branch. Supplies files, documents or other information from records upon request of supervisor or other authorized person. Establishes and purges files as necessary. Creates labels and organizes files.
3. Responds to routine requests for information. Prepares responses as directed from source material. Follows up on required actions and informs supervisor of their status.
4. Prepares invoices for payment including verification that items were received and pricing is correct. Documents discrepancies and refers such to the certifying official. May be involved in the resolution through communications with involved parties, prepares correspondence, etc. Responds to questions from staff, outside sources, and vendors concerning the certification and payment process.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Must be able to obtain a security clearance
High School diploma
2+ years of administrative experience
