Job Description Senior Business Analyst-Insurance

Position Description
The individual in this role will gather, document and analyze client functional, transactional and insurance product business requirements. Sr. Business Analyst will also work within a cross-functional project team to provide business analytical support and leadership from the business side at the program level. The individual will play a highly visible, client facing and consultative role and have the ability to offer system solutions to enhance client implementations and transform client workflow and business processes. The individual will act as the business liaison between the customer and technical team and will provide support throughout the project development life cycle. The individual must project a high level of confidence to the client and have strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Perform business and systems analysis for large, complex engagements

• Write functional specifications and end user documentation

• Exhibit leadership skills for a project at the program level for top clients.

• Work with project manager and implementation manager to manage BA project activities

• Work with project and implementation management at the project planning level with regard to BA activities

• Act as the point of contact, manage client expectations and establish proper levels of client contact

• Attend management level project meetings and disseminate information back to the project BA's

• Manage all BA project activities and deliverables

• Escalate concerns and issues to project management

• Provide high level project updates to the BA AVP on project issues, plans and project direction

• Aptitude to learn and demonstrate above average knowledge of OneShield suite of products

• Provide leadership and mentor team members

• Perform various roles in response to business needs and project schedule, such as requirements gathering and documentation, QA testing and support activities

• Perform System process analysis to include identification of interface points and other workflow considerations



Required qualifications to be successful in this role

5 plus years’ experience in Commercial Lines

High level of self-confidence and BA skills to gain client credibility.

Aptitude to learn new technologies, applications, and business areas

Ability to recognize issues requiring escalation

Experience in tracking bug resolutions

Excellent organizational and problem solving skills

Ability to compile and provide sound task estimations

Ability to perform work in tight scheduled time frames.

Excellent verbal & written communication skills

Bachelors Degree
