Senior Linux System Administrator
Position Description
Be a part of are a growing Application and System Admin Team at CGI.
You will be responsible for application deployments, server software installation and project work. The successful person will be a Linux command line expert with strong troubleshooting experience (TCP/IP, LDAP, HTTP, Public Key Infrastructure,single sign-on), and Java Webserver administration.
Experience with IBM Tivoli Identity Manager (ITIM & ISAMv9), Websphere Portal Server,Oracle, and DB2 will be an asset. Experience with server automation and configuring management (Puppet/Ansible/Chef or Docker/ Kubernetes/Mesos) will be a bonus.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Automate application deployment based on deployment instructions and product manuals.
- Implement application health-check and ensure application availability.
- Application level support and troubleshooting.
- Analyze application logs for error and performance issues.
- Identify and Document existing procedures and processes.
- Provide 24/7 support for production systems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Strong DevOps experience for Java and Node JS Web applications, hands on experience in continuous delivery, including build, test, and deployment automation.
- Strong troubleshooting skill to help developers identifying deployment issues.
- Version control system and branching.
- Proficient in at least one of the main stream automation engines and / or frameworks.
- Minimum 6 to 7 years of experience in a 24/7 operating environment, with multiple development environment stacks.
- Experience working with IT security policies.
- Senior level experience with application installation and support.

- Hypervisor (VMWare, KVM)
- Single sign-on standards or protocols, specifically SAML and OAuth 2.
