Senior Program Manager
Position Description CGI is currently seeking Utilities Industry executive level Program Manager to join our Vancouver team. Successful candidates will have experience in delivering complex IT projects and have a strong, verifiable track record of delivering large, $10M+ programs within the Utility industry.
The selected Program Manager is expected to provide guidance to project managers on core competencies such as Project Delivery, Financial Management, Risk Management, Technical Awareness, and Estimating and Planning for e-commerce, Fulfillment Operations and Call Center operations.
Overall accountability of service delivery to our clients:
• Ensure success of engagements using global delivery and vendor partners • Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management team • Apply delivery and customer management best practices • Evolve and enhance various delivery tools, methodologies, and processes such as engagement management, project management, and applications management
Business growth:
• Work in partnership with Business Development to develop proposals and evolve solution offerings • Work in partnership with Business Development on revenue growth opportunities
Management:
• Apply management best practices such as succession planning, member performance review, and finance management • Contribute to business and budget planning • Manage expenses and profitability of engagements • Evolve and enhance various management processes such as HR management and profitability management
Your future duties and responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, vision, and management to a multi-million program; • Work with client executives, Directors, Managers, and staff to assess and respond to the needs of the program • Hold departmental meetings to review strategic goals and initiatives, promote team building and work to provide growth paths for staff and support for current on-going initiatives
Required qualifications to be successful in this role • 10 years experience working in the Gas and or Electrical Utilities Industry, managing large programs with the following components: outsourcing, web applications, logistics / fulfillment, and E-commerce; • Experienced in relationship management across multiple partners and customers, including the ability to establish, maintain and grow executive relationships • Demonstrated well developed strategic thinking and a customer service orientation • Superior verbal/written communication and influencing skills as well as effective listening skills • Experience applying structured project management methods and tools

Desired Educational Background:
• Industry or Domain specific designations – PMP, ITIL, etc. • Post-secondary education – MBA, Certificate or degree in technology management, Finance, etc.
