Position Description
CGI Federal is looking for a Senior Software Security Quality Analyst who will lead and or directs technical teams to propose, plan, install and execute validation testing for large-scale organizations with mixed technical and component technologies.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Performs installations and runs quality assurance programs to test, identify, reproduce, and report defects in software.
Conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Drafts, revises and approves test plans and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy.
Creates test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
Coordinates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing.
Ensures that system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved.
Analyzing test results for root causes of bugs or failures, assigning a risk assessment, and communicating test results to identified stakeholders.
Drafting, revising, and approving test plans, procedures and scripts to ensure alignment with standards and IT strategy.
Develops guidelines and procedures for the use of test databases and systems testing, and independent verification and validation methods and technology.
Creating test data files with valid and invalid records to thoroughly test program logic and verify system flow.
Providing support for requirements-based testing, and automating test tools such as WINRUNNER, TSL scripting language, Quality Center, Test Director, QTP with SPUFI, QMF, Fileaid for DB2, and other DB2 query tools.
Consults with users and developers on using appropriate tools and creating automated test scripts based on system requirements.
Coordinates with users to plan user acceptance testing, alpha and beta testing, provides guidance and direction across testing components and offers consults and advice.
Preparing the test environment thru selection of a methodology that is agreed upon by stakeholders and making sure that system tests are successfully completed and documented and any testing problems are resolved.
Implementing best practices for security testing and evaluation.
Performing technical problem prevention/resolution.
Recommends improvements to validation and verification processes and/or studies to improve systems.
Advises clients of market trends and analysis of tools that can ease and speed up the testing process.
Provides and supports best practices for verification and validation environments. Experienced and knowledgeable of industry trends and standards and makes or develops recommendations or proposals regarding improved testing and validation hardware and software environments as well as studies.
Performs installations and runs quality assurance programs to test, identify, reproduce, and report defects in software. Resolves issues affecting testing.
Develops guidelines and procedures for the use of test databases and systems testing, and independent verification and validation methods and technology.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Master’s Degree is required along with 3-6 years of conducting a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user requirements.
Experienced and able to lead and consult organization on major validation projects including making recommendations based on test study and analysis of results.
Experience designing control procedures, investigating processes and applications of quality investigations for root cause analysis and impact on products/processes/design.
Knowledgeable of Federal laws and regulations, directives, instructions, policy, standards, and guidance so that requirements support security and privacy compliance.
Knowledgeable of FedRAMP requirements and guidance.
Experience making certain that security and privacy policies are complied with and that data is protected, available to only authorized users, and complies with all applicable laws and regulations.


Desired Certifications:
Certifications from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB), American Society for Quality (ASC), American Society for Quality Control (ASQC), Quality Assurance International (QAI), or Software Engineering Institute (SEI)
