Position Description
CGI is seeking a Senior Windows System Administrator for a project in Sacramento, CA. The position involves working onsite at the CGI office and client site.

We’re looking for a candidate that is flexible, and can operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment, interfacing with network administrators and developers on both the client, supplier, and CGI team.



Your future duties and responsibilities
The Senior Windows System Administrator provides expert level setup, installation and configuration of Cisco UCS systems, SAN Storage, VMware and Windows Server OS. Provides operating system configuration and support in order to provide, stable, sustainable and secure enterprise level servers including backup, recovery, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, maintenance, troubleshooting, permissions and file sharing.

This individual needs to be well versed in Site Recovery Manager (SRM) as well as SAN Administration to be considered for the role.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Candidate must have excellent written and verbal skills.
• Candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot issues with good engineering rigor. Position requires the ability to be flexible, and operate in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Ability to interface well with network administrators and developers.
• Perform system administration for Windows Server 2012 in a large scale enterprise environment or large datacenter environment.
• Expert understanding of DR setup and maintenance using VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and Dell/EMC RecoveryPoint.
• Experience with hardware setup of Cisco UCS and Dell/EMC VNX preferred.
• Oversees appropriate level software installations and upgrades and related software packages.
• Oversees and applies appropriate support packages/patches to maintain system integrity.
• Ability to write PowerShell scripts for automation of repetitive tasks.
Must have firm understanding of network concepts including, vlans, ports, protocols, security contexts, etc

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
• Ability to assist troubleshooting HTML, .NET and Web Service applications.
• Installation and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint Server.
• Installation, setup and maintenance of monitoring/performance tools such as SCOM, AppDynamics or vCenter Operations Manager.
