Job Description Software Quality Assurance Lead

Position Description
CGI is looking for a Quality Assurance engineer experienced in manual, automated, and performance testing, who has a passion for solving problems. You will be involved in a mission critical project, developing quality assurance strategies and plans, collaborating with development teams, and reporting results to internal and client management.


Your future duties and responsibilities
•Collaborate with team members to find better, more efficient ways of doing things
•Design automation test strategies, plans, scenarios, scripts and procedures based on manual test plans, utilizing industry standard testing methodologies or processes
•Create system test plans, and software documentation including requirements, design, and user manuals
•Lead on-site and remote teams in order to perform all aspects of testing: functional, regression, load and system testing, taking part in every phase of the Software Development Life Cycle
•Ensure that all test items follow established change management processes and are tested and tracked using the provided test management software
•Solve challenging business and technical problems
•Provide proactive guidance to junior engineers and participate in training classes, engineering reviews, and our mentor program



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•Experience in implementing efficient and effective data-driven automation testing strategies as well as strong knowledge in all aspects of testing including manual, performance and automated testing
•Proven ability to ensure appropriate testing coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of comprehensive test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps and test automation
•Experience identifying gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, designs and testing documentation for completeness and testability
•Solid hands-on experience with testing tools to support automation and performance testing (e.g. Selenium, HPE, TestComplete, Cucumber, Serenity, TestNG)
•Experience developing in scripting languages such as Python, PERL or JavaScript
•Experience in GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy, Java
•Be highly motivated by delivering excellent services to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction
•BS in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or directly related degree required
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to travel to client site
