Job Description Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Position Description
The Global Wealth and Capital Markets (GWCM) division of CGI creates, maintains and operates industry leading wealth management solutions to serve our clients’ needs for brokerage processing (e-settlement), portfolio management (MVest), fund accounting (MPower), shareholder record keeping (PrimeBase), plan administration (CORE), foreign exchange trading (Object Charlie / Fx Sentry) and mortgage securitization (SwixMortgage). We also support banks in critical back-office functions, such as originations, collections and trade services, through other CGI solutions such as CACS, Strata, Enterprise Originations, Proponix and TradeLine.


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Identify and validate clients’ business needs and requirements.
• Participate in and/or lead requirements workshops to identify business needs and requirements.
• Document current business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts, and propose business processes, business flows, rules and artifacts.
• Produce detailed requirements documents and requirements trace-ability matrices.
• Develop test scripts, use cases and coordinate system testing.
• Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency.
• Ensure solutions meet or exceed business requirements.
• Ensure new software integration meets functional requirements, systems compliance and interface specifications.
• Provide leadership; mentor other team members.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 5 to 10 or more years of progressive experience as a Business Systems Analyst in related.
• Information Technology / Information Systems environments.
• Experience documenting business rules, data models, business cases and business case summaries.
• Experience with business process re-engineering and business process modeling.
• Programming languages (XML, .NET C#, SQL, UNIX shell scripts).
• Experience facilitating workshops.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in the Wealth Management Industry.
• Experience in the Mutual Fund Accounting industry.
• Experience with MPower or MVest.
• Post-secondary education in relevant discipline or equivalent work experience.
