Position Description
CGI is adding a Senior Project Manager to our team in Charlotte, NC. As the Senior Project Manager on a global team, you are responsible for leading teams to deliver projects that span across one or more business units within a global, enterprise organization. You will manage resources, schedules, financials, potential risks, change requests and adhere to stage gate quality to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis and lead teams to achieving the benefits defined in the specific business case. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-class IT company, for a permanent position in the Charlotte metro area providing high-end IT services to local enterprise clients.


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Manage a portfolio of complex initiatives that span one or multiple lines of business and be responsible for full project lifecycle ownership
• Develop trusted adviser relationship with project and program stakeholder to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic business objectives
• Procure adequate resource, prepare estimates and detailed project plan, and establish best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships to expand and mature capabilities for the organization
• Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
• Monitor projects to ensure that they remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under budget, and develop according to plan
• Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
• Lead a fast-paced, global team in delivering transformational projects for the business



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor's degree and at least five years’ of project management experience including tracking and planning projects and working with business stakeholders within a cross-functional matrix environment
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across, and down multiple business and technology organizations
• Proven track record with full product lifecycle; understanding of development lifecycle, such as Scrum and Agile, and various technology methodologies that support that lifecycle
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements from the client and presenting project status to stakeholders and senior leadership
• Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Microsoft Projects, preferred experience with ServiceNow, SmartSheet and Lucid Chart
• Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs; ability to work independently and in fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse group of clients, team members, managers, and subject matter expects (SME)
