Position Description
As part of the Transformation effort, we are seeking a Storage Engineer for the various NAS & SAN solutions deployed in the customers site today. The storage engineer will be responsible for assisting in migrating discrete workloads from the legacy environment to the target environment as well as hardening systems that will not be migrated. Specific skills include:
- Specialization in administration of Enterprise NetApp Storage array’s, EMC VMAX systems, and HP storage array’s including upgrade and migration planning and execution for both hardware and software updates.
- Administers NetApp with current version ONTAP (7-mode and Cluster mode) management console, EMC Networker Services; Data Fabric Manager (DFM), Brocade SAN fabric Switches; Operations Manager and vendor specific management consoles.
- Applies pertinent Security Technical Information Guides (STIG) as appropriate in coordination of Information Assurance (IA) policies and procedures.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
- Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required. Dual citizenship is not acceptable for this position.
- Bachelor's degree required
- NetApp Certified Data Administrator certification (NCDA), EMC storage or HP storage certification required
- A minimum of 3 years of experience and advanced knowledge of non-disruptive migration technologies and Internet Small Computing Systems Interface (iSCSI) storage
- A minimum of 3 years of experience and solid knowledge of Windows Server
- A minimum of 3 years of experience and solid knowledge of Local Area Networking/Wide Area Networking (LAN/WAN)
- Ability to travel to support remote sites (+/- 10%)

Desired:
- Experience migrating large data volumes across disparate vendor technologies
-Experience hardening storage arrays to NIST 800-53 and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) standards.
