Job Description System Administrator

Position Description
The Junior Automation Engineer will be a functional member of the development team. This person will be responsible for heavy automation scripting utilizing Powershell and supporting and trouble shooting any application support and maintenance on IIS web servers. This would include provisioning, instillation, configuration, operation and maintenance of any hardware and software systems. In addition to building and deploying applications and being able to package them out and deployment.


Your future duties and responsibilities
FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve the performance and reliability of the systems
• Monitor operating environment, apply performance tuning and develop capacity plans
• Ability to perform system upgrades
• Experience writing automation scripts for maintaining the health of servers and processes to support system availability goals
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects. Manage and respond to change requests for multiple system environments
• Manage and respond to system and deployment requests from development, QA and client teams
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate system/application issues for Windows based operating systems and hardware
• Manage and configure system infrastructure, operating systems, server software and databases within a windows environment
• Perform application builds and deployments using Microsoft TFS and supporting tools
• Maintain source control, build and deployment tools
• Experience with scripting languages such as ant, Powershell, Python.
• Experience configuring Microsoft IIS servers
