Job Description Systems Administrator

Position Description
The Systems Administrator position is an IT generalist position providing day-to-day operational support for Windows 2008/2012 Server,Windows 7/10 Enterprise, and end-user support in an Active Directory environment. Applicants should display excellent technical problem solving skills, a solid understanding of Windows network operating systems, and general understanding of LAN/WAN networking. This position will also play a significant local support presence in agency workflow and production, coordination of both Tier2/Tier3 support, and act as the local technical point of contact for enterprise-wide IT projects.


Your future duties and responsibilities
Data Center Administration: Server, workstation and LAN support, patch management and deployment
Installation, configuration, administration of local servers, workstations, and associated peripheral equipment
Administration of backup/restore applications. Administration of Microsoft Technologies including Exchange, SMS, Active Directory, SQL Server, DNS and DHCP



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
**Active Secret Security Clearance Required**

EDUCATION: A Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or 4 years equivalent computer experience in Windows Active Directory, Windows 2008/2003/2000 Server, Windows Win7/XP Workstation, PC troubleshooting, and LAN/WAN support.

Nice to have:
Experience with Server Administration in a VMWare Environment; SAN/NAS Experience; Chassis/Blade/Hydrid Server HW Environment.
