Job Description Systems Administrator

Position Description
This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) clearance, so US Citizenship is required.

Position Summary:
CGI Federal is searching for a qualified System Administrator to support our San Diego office. The successful candidate will provide Windows system administration, troubleshoot operational systems and network, and conduct maintenance and configuration of communications and network equipment as part of a mixed government-contractor Integrated Product Team.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
• Develop and support solutions to system administration tasks.
• Set up and maintain development network environments to include server, router, and security configuration
• Support integration, testing, accreditation and deployment of software/system upgrades/builds with data analysis, system regression testing, and training support
• Review, generate, and analyze all technical documentation released to the Operational Network.

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or other engineering discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of experience directly related to the principle duties and responsibilities listed. An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience in subsystem architecture and system design activities as a Systems Engineer.
• Experience with administration of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 (would accept Server 2008)
• Red Hat Linux is a must with recent certs as a bonus.
• VMWare 5.5 or higher or similar recent Hyper-visor experience is a must.
• Experienced with Windows client operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of Local Area Networks and Wide Area networks.
• Demonstrated expertise in Windows and Unix configuration, support, and system administration including expertise with Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, File Server, WSUS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated expertise with Cisco network gear and knowledge of TCP/IP networking theory and implementation. In addition, experienced with NSA Type-1 encryption devices like TACLANEs or OMNIxi.
• Experience with network security solutions and products such as firewalls, access controls, intrusion prevention systems, multi-level security, and cross domain solutions
• Demonstrated experience with Storage Area Networks (SANs). Experience with virtual management and storage software.
• Experience writing technical system administration, installation, and troubleshooting guides.
• Security experience with official DOD/Intel standards and requirements (ie. DCID, IAVA, 8500 series) is preferable; and hands-on experience with computer network security tools like: DISA Gold, Retina and Nessus.
• NAVY, DOD, or military systems experience.
• Familiarity with emerging Military/Navy Communications systems and technologies.
• Capability to effectively communicate with engineers, leads, and managers

Additional Requirements:
• Active Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
• DOD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical Level 2 (IAT2) - Security+ and Server+
