We're expanding in Atlantic Canada and we need your skills, enthusiasm, and dedication as part of our team.

We have a requirement to fill two positions for technical architects as soon as we can. The successful candidates will be working for one of our largest clients, a prestigious financial institution with offices all over the world. The architect roles will be part of a larger program that is overseeing and solutioning the complex encryption requirements for multiple database technologies for multiple systems used all around the world by our client.



Your future duties and responsibilities
•Working with business stakeholders to understand and translate functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
•Evaluating and recommending appropriate technologies to satisfy business needs.
•Working with project management to identifying technical dependencies and assisting with the development of project plans.
•Communicate design intent to technical members and program leadership/stakeholders.
•Recommending and implementing software development best practices and process improvements.
•Acting as the technical liaison between clients and technical teams.
•Preparing reports and data that will support product roadmap decisions.



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
•Strong software architecture/design skills.
•Ability to write detailed technical specifications.
•Strong understanding of database design and encryption technologies.
•Oversight of architecture and design of encryption solutions.
•Experience working with Security practitioners.
•Experience with Encryption, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Data masking technologies and Data Classification.
•Development of strategic plans and discovery projects around unstructured data security tools specially encryption.
•Leading solution oriented engagements involving Data Security to help address risk and to enhance the overall security posture with regard to unstructured data.
•Creation of work breakdown structures and implementation projects for Data Security Encryption tools.

Education and Experience

•B.S or M.S. in Computing Science or related subject, or equivalent work experience.
•3-5 years of experience in a senior software developer/architect role.
•Recent hands on experience as a software developer.
•Knowledge of collecting requirements for integration projects based on Service Oriented Architecture solution an asset.
•Experience with issue and project tracking software such as JIRA is an asset.
•Experience developing technical / systems design specifications.
•Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
•Experience performing business analysis across multiple business and technical teams.
•Experience with 3rd party encryption tools or key management systems would be an asset.
