Position Description
CGI is seeking a Technical Lead-Java/J2EE to join our financial services team in Pittsburgh, PA. We offer an exciting full time opportunity within the 5th largest IT Services Firm in the world. The Java Technical lead will have outstanding leadership and technical skills to drive solutions, estimates and provide proposal support.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Work closely with internal and external partners/vendors and lead all phases of new implementations including planning, design, configuration, development and coding of custom features and integration points.
• Lead technical design, implementation and delivery of projects and report project status to stakeholders
• Work with cross-functional teams of technical resources and 3rd party application developers
• Lead a group of onsite and offshore developers.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 8-10 years ‘experience as a Java/J2EE lead developer
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Technical Lead
• Experience supporting proposals with estimation, technical solutions
• Strong knowledge in application architecture, design patterns, UML
• Exceptional communication skills and attitude/ eagerness to grow the business through software consulting, client relationship management and delivery
• Strong knowledge of the Java/J2EE(version minimum 1.7 and above) and J2EE frameworks (Spring, Struts, EJB etc)

Strong knowledge of the following:
ORM tool (Hibernate, JPA, iBatis etc)
UI development (HTML5, Angular JS, Bootstrap)
Web Services (WSDL Soap, Restful)
Dev Ops tools and practices(GIT, Gradle, Jenkins, uDeploy etc
•Proficient/hands on experience with Application Servers (WebSphere)
•Knowledge of relation databases, specifically Oracle (SQL - PL/SQL)
•Exposure to SOA
•Test driven development with jUnit
•Ability to work both independently and with a team
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
