Job Description Technical Trainer - TS/SCI Clearance Required

Position Description
The Technical Trainer participates in the full life-cycle development of hands-on and online technical training material. During this cycle the trainer will act in a variety of capacities depending on training assignment ranging from basic requirements gathering, conducting interviews, executing training needs analysis, as well as the design, development, integration and evaluation of training material. The trainer may, from time to time, participate in classroom (stand-up) presentation of material for classrooms with up to thirty (30) students. The trainer will be supervised by a Training Manager, and work alone when supporting local division level tasking, but with others when supporting large, multi-divisional or organizational level tasking.


Your future duties and responsibilities
• Participates in training requirements gathering
• Participates in Subject Matter Expert interviews and review of technical documentation
• Participates in Training Needs Analysis
• Participates in Design of training material
• Participates in Development of training material
• Participates in the Integration of training material
• Participates in the Evaluation of training material
• Participates in the management of student records
• Participates in peer review of material
• Presents current status of training efforts at staff briefings
• Other additional duties as assigned



Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Knowledgeable in the realm of Signature Reduction
• Knowledge and understanding of instructional design methods, preferably ADDIE
• Skillful in the use of computer based author-ware, preferably Inspire
• Skillful in the use of a non-linear video editor, preferably Camtasia
• Skillful in the use of a Learning Management System, preferably CourseMill
• Skillful in both public speaking and presentation
• Able to work both individually and as a part of a larger team
• Able to meet deadlines
• Able to present complex concepts in such a way as to be easily understood by students
• Able to lift/carry standard office equipment up to 40 pounds
• Able to sit, stand and/or walk as necessary in standard office environment
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess TOP SECRET DoD clearance based on current SSBI
• Must have an SCI eligibility granted by a DoD agency

Desired:

• At least one Training certification, preferably CTT+, OR, three (3) years’ experience as either an Instructional Designer or Technical Trainer/Instructor
• Bachelor of Science degree with a focus in computer or networking studies preferred, but not required
